Why these rugs are only sold in our showroom
A genuine hand-knotted Persian or Oriental rug is not a catalogue product. Each one is unique in size, pattern and character, and the only honest way to judge one is to see it in natural light, feel the pile and check the back.
We keep these pieces out of the online checkout deliberately. Rather than list them with a buy button, we hold a small, rotating selection at our Preston showroom in Lostock Hall and invite you to come and view them with us. If you are after the look without the price of a hand-knotted piece, our Persian-style rugs and traditional rugs are available to buy online with free UK delivery.

We'll lay each rug out, show you the back and the knot density, and talk you through how it was made and how it will wear.

There is no pressure to decide on the day. Take photos, measure up at home and come back when you are ready — every piece on this page is a one-off, so do tell us if you would like one put aside while you think.

Our showroom is at 144–146 Brownedge Road, Lostock Hall, Preston PR5 5AE — a couple of minutes from junction 29 of the M6 and junction 1 of the M65, with free parking outside the door. Most of Lancashire is within a 45-minute drive.
Under half an hour: Preston, Penwortham, Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Chorley, Blackburn, Longridge, Kirkham, Garstang and Lytham St Annes.
Within 45 minutes: Blackpool, Lancaster, Clitheroe, Darwen, Accrington, Burnley, Southport, Ormskirk, Wigan and Bolton.

Do you sell Persian and Oriental rugs online?
No. Our machine-made Persian-style and traditional rugs are sold online, but the genuine hand-knotted pieces on this page are showroom only. Each one is unique, so we would rather you saw it in person than bought from a photograph.
Where can I see Persian rugs near Preston?
At our showroom in Lostock Hall, Preston PR5 5AE, open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. We are just off the M6 and M65 with free parking, and we are a short drive from Leyland, Chorley, Blackburn, Blackpool and Lancaster.
Do I need an appointment?
No — you are welcome to walk in during opening hours, and some of the hand-knotted pieces are always on display. Not all of our stock is out on the floor, though, so if there is a particular rug on this page you want to see, call ahead on 0345 163 2015 and we will have it laid out ready for you.
How do I know a rug is genuinely hand-knotted?
Turn it over. On a hand-knotted rug the pattern is as clear on the back as on the front, the knots are visible and slightly irregular, and the fringe is the ends of the warp threads rather than a sewn-on strip. We will show you all of this at a viewing.
What sizes do you have?
In store we normally carry hand-knotted rugs from around 80 × 150 cm up to 200 × 300 cm, which covers hallways through to large living rooms. Sizes are listed on each rug above and stock changes regularly. If you need something larger, we can source it through our network of importers — trusted suppliers we have dealt with for decades.
Can you help me choose a rug for my room?
Yes — that is the point of seeing them in person. Bring room measurements and a photo or two, and tell us the colours you live with. We have been helping Preston families choose rugs since 1961.
