Small Rugs
Small rugs earn their place beside a bed, in front of a door, under a desk or in a cloakroom. Everything here is available in a compact size of roughly 1.3 square metres or less, though most designs also come larger.

The two sizes that cover most jobs are 80 x 150cm, which fits a bedside or a hearth, and 120 x 170cm, which sits under a coffee table in a snug or small sitting room. Small rugs are also where you can take a risk: a rich Persian-style design (Da Vinci, Galleria), a deep shaggy (Mehari) or a bright abstract that would dominate a room at full size looks considered at 80 x 150. For doorways, kitchens and anywhere muddy, the Liberty and Lux washable ranges go straight in the machine.
Because most of these designs are made in several sizes, a small rug is also a good way to live with a pattern before committing to the room-sized version.
