Abstract designs give a room something to look at without imposing a pattern on it. These run from soft painterly washes and marbled effects through to bold scraped and weathered surfaces that behave almost like artwork on the floor.
It is the largest style group we sell, and it covers most price points. At the softer end are the Aurora and Romy ranges, with blurred tonal washes in greys, blues and golds. Anders and Glitz bring bolder strokes and a touch of shimmer. The distressed abstracts — the ones that look like a faded fresco — are among our best sellers for a modern living room, and the Liberty Washable range offers the same look in a rug that goes in the machine. At the top of the range sit the Calvin Klein and DKNY abstracts, hand-finished in wool and viscose.
