Asher Black Rug

Black cotton motifs are worked across the natural jute ground, the contrast sharp enough that the Berber diamonds and bands read from right across the room. The jute keeps its own warm straw colour underneath, so the rug never looks starkly monochrome. A hard-wearing flatweave for a hall, a kitchen or a busy family room.

Part of the Asher collection — hand-woven in India from jute with cotton and a little polyester, in a low flatweave just 10mm thick and left unbacked. Cotton yarns are placed through the natural jute ground to form tribal Berber patterns, giving texture and design in a single, sustainable construction.
