Birkdale Beige Rug

Beige with the gentle banding that comes of hand spun yarn, one length of wool taking dye a shade differently from the next, so the flatweave is streaked rather than solid. Low, reversible and unfussy, it is the sort of rug that goes down in a kitchen or a hallway and is still right years later.

Part of the Birkdale collection — a hand woven flatweave in 65% wool and 35% polyester, made in India with a 4mm pile and no backing, so it is fully reversible and only 9mm thick. The hand spun yarn carries natural colour striations, which means no two pieces are quite alike.
