Beige on beige: a slightly deeper border around a centre of oatmeal and pale sand, with the carved pile doing most of the work. It reads as a neutral from across the room and rewards a closer look, which makes it a sensible foundation in a space where the colour is going to come from cushions and curtains.

Part of the Kuza collection — a machine-woven Turkish rug in a polypropylene and polyester blend, with a soft cut pile carved to a high-low finish that gives the surface real texture and a quiet lustre. At 13mm overall it is hard-wearing, easy to clean and latex-backed for stability underfoot.
