Fine gold lines travel the length of the rug at uneven intervals, some barely there, others drawn firmly, against a warmer sand ground. Because the pile is carved the lines stand slightly proud and throw their own shadow. The effect is linear and orderly without being mechanical, and it lengthens a narrow room.

Part of the Kuza collection — a machine-woven Turkish rug in a polypropylene and polyester blend, with a soft cut pile carved to a high-low finish that gives the surface real texture and a quiet lustre. At 13mm overall it is hard-wearing, easy to clean and latex-backed for stability underfoot.
