Mason Linear Rug

Fine parallel lines are carved into a plain black ground, running the length of the rug and catching the light along every raised edge. There is no second colour at all — the pattern exists purely in the height of the pile — which makes it an easy way to bring order to a busy room.

Part of the Mason collection — machine woven in India from microfibre polyester, with a 13mm cut-and-loop pile that carves each design in relief against a plain ground. The finish is soft and lightly brushed underfoot, 14mm in total over a cotton backing, giving quiet texture rather than obvious colour.
