Ivory shows the carving at its clearest, because with no colour to distract, the eye follows the shadow lines between the high and low pile. The result is a pale rug with real surface interest, brightening a dark floor and giving a plain, modern room something to look at underfoot.

Part of the Tova collection — a robot-tufted polyester rug worked in a high-low pile carved into smooth curving forms across three levels, 28mm deep and 36mm overall on a latex backing. The pattern comes from the cut of the pile rather than colour, so each rug stays tonal. Made in India.
