Aurora Rugs
Aurora covers a lot of ground for a single range: marbled greys and silvers, warm golds, and a group of deeper blues, worked up as abstracts, soft geometrics and stone-like marbling. The shine in the fibre is what ties them together, catching daylight and lamplight differently through the day. Sizes run from narrow hall runners through to a 240 x 340 cm room size.
Aurora is machine woven in Turkey from a dense polyester and polypropylene blend at a low 13 mm height, and the yarn carries a high shine that lifts the pattern under light. Sizes run from a 66 x 240 cm runner and 80 x 150 cm up to 240 x 340 cm, with prices from around £89.
The golds are the ones people come in for — warm, marbled and glowing against a grey sofa — but the silvers and deeper blues are just as easy to live with. A good living room or bedroom rug where you want sheen without a viscose price.
