Avalon Rugs
Avalon keeps to one colour per rug, so the basketweave reads as texture rather than pattern. Three shades are made: a deep forest green, a monochrome grey and a warm rust. The wool is hard-wearing and the hemmed edges are built to take use, which suits hallways and sitting rooms as much as bedrooms. Three sizes are available.
Avalon is hand woven in India from wool in an unbacked basketweave flatweave, with a 4 mm pile and a 14 mm overall height. Tight selvedge hems along each edge hold the weave firm. Sizes are 120 x 170 cm, 160 x 230 cm and 200 x 290 cm, with prices from around £209.
