Bordo Rugs
Bordo covers two weaves: a traditional herringbone and a softer modern boucle, both power loomed in jute and bound with a cotton border. Colours stay close to the natural fibre, running through cream, linen, sage, rust, khaki, slate and charcoal. The range is made in eight sizes, from a small 45 x 75cm mat and two long runners up to a 240 x 340cm room size.
Bordo is a power-loomed jute flatweave from India, 14 mm in total over a low 4 mm surface, with a latex backing to hold it steady and a cotton border on every rug. Sizes run from 40 x 120 cm and 45 x 75 cm mats through a 68 x 240 cm runner, 120 x 170 cm and 160 x 230 cm up to 240 x 340 cm, with prices from around £29.
The herringbone in slate, linen, khaki or charcoal on cream is the simplest natural rug we sell, and the one designers reach for as a base to layer a smaller patterned rug on top. Jute likes to stay dry, so keep it indoors.
