Slate grey and cream work the herringbone in a cooler register, less stark than charcoal but still clearly defined. The grey tempers the golden tone of the jute, which makes it a sensible choice in a room of cool paint colours and grey-toned flooring.

Part of the Bordo collection — a power-loomed jute flatweave from India, 14mm in total height over a low 4mm surface, with a latex backing to hold it steady. Each rug is finished with a cotton border, and jute makes for a hard-wearing, sustainable floor covering.
