Stellar Rugs
Stellar covers twelve painterly abstract colourways, from warm naturals and quiet greys through to green and blue, so there is something for a neutral room and something for one that needs colour. Four sizes are made, from 80 x 150cm up to 200 x 290cm. The lustre in the yarn and the carved high-low surface are what set these apart from a flat machine-woven rug.
Stellar is machine woven in Turkey from a polypropylene and polyester blend, 12 mm overall, with a high-low pile that lifts the abstract pattern into relief and a yarn that carries a bright lustre as the light moves. Sizes run from 80 x 150 cm through 120 x 170 cm and 160 x 230 cm to 200 x 290 cm, with prices from around £79.
The fresco designs in grey, natural, sage and indigo are soft enough to sit under a patterned sofa and interesting enough to carry a plain one. A practical, good-value modern rug.
