Tigra Rugs
Tigra is offered in three colourways — a restrained sand, a deep mocha and a warm spice — all carrying the same loosely drawn animal markings. Because the design is carved into the wool rather than printed onto it, the pattern reads differently depending on where the light falls and which way the pile is brushed. Three sizes are made, from 120 x 170cm up to 200 x 290cm.
Tigra is hand woven in India from 100% wool, with cut and looped pile worked at different heights so the animal markings are carved into the surface. At 18 mm overall it has genuine substance underfoot. Sizes are 120 x 170 cm, 160 x 230 cm and 200 x 290 cm, with prices from around £179.
Spice, sand and mocha — an animal print done in tone and texture rather than colour, which makes it far easier to live with than it sounds.
