Ascot Putty Rug

Putty is a soft, slightly grey stone colour, and with the viscose border it becomes the quietest rug in the range. The only real contrast is the shift from matt wool to shine at the frame, which gives shape to an otherwise plain surface and suits a room where the rug should stay in the background.

Part of the Ascot collection — a hand-woven rug in 65% wool and 35% viscose, with a short cut pile carved to lift the broad border clear of the field. The wool centre is matt and dense, the viscose border catches the light, and each rug is made in India over a cotton backing.
