Avalon Forest Rug

A deep forest green carried right through the basketweave, so the pattern shows as a shift of light across the blocks rather than as a change of colour. Green of this depth is a strong choice in a pale room, and it settles well against oak, brass and warm white walls.

Part of the Avalon collection — hand-woven in India from wool in an unbacked basketweave flatweave, with a 4mm pile and a 14mm overall height. Tight selvedge hems along each edge hold the weave firm, and the single-tone yarn lets the basket structure do all the work.
