Putty and silver sit only a shade apart, one edging the rug and the other filling it, so the border is felt as a gentle change of temperature rather than a hard line. It is the most understated piece in the collection and the one that will disappear most willingly into an existing scheme.

Part of the Blade Border collection — hand woven in India from 100% viscose in a low loop pile, then tip-sheared so the yarn catches light and shifts tone as you cross the room. A thick contrast border frames each piece, and the 17mm cotton, polyester and latex backing keeps it sitting flat.
