Silver gives a cool, pale grey centre in wool, with the viscose border reading almost metallic where the light crosses it. The pairing suits a modern room with white walls, glass and chrome, and the carved frame gives the rug a defined shape on a wide expanse of floor.
Part of the Ascot collection — a hand-woven rug in 65% wool and 35% viscose, with a short cut pile carved to lift the broad border clear of the field. The wool centre is matt and dense, the viscose border catches the light, and each rug is made in India over a cotton backing.
