Beige with the faintest stripe running through it, the bands marked by pile height and a shade of difference in colour. This is about as understated as a patterned rug gets, and it is the one to choose when what is wanted is warmth and texture underfoot rather than anything to look at.

Part of the Kuza collection — a machine-woven Turkish rug in a polypropylene and polyester blend, with a soft cut pile carved to a high-low finish that gives the surface real texture and a quiet lustre. At 13mm overall it is hard-wearing, easy to clean and latex-backed for stability underfoot.
