Thatch Sand Rug

Sand is a mid natural tone, a shade deeper than the ecru and rather easier to keep looking well. The high-low check shows clearly in raking light and settles back into plain texture when seen straight on. A sensible, good-looking floor for a busy living room that needs its pattern kept quiet.

Part of the Thatch collection — hand woven in India from a wool-rich blend, with a low looped ground and a raised cut pile carved into a soft check. At 15mm overall the surface is shallow but strongly textural, the difference in pile height doing the work that contrasting colour usually does.
