Magnitude builds a series of large, overlapping arcs into a black ground, cut deep enough to throw a clear shadow along every curve. In black it is the most dramatic version of the design, and it works best in a lighter room where the contrast with pale walls does the work.

Part of the Mason collection — machine woven in India from microfibre polyester, with a 13mm cut-and-loop pile that carves each design in relief against a plain ground. The finish is soft and lightly brushed underfoot, 14mm in total over a cotton backing, giving quiet texture rather than obvious colour.
