Straw is the warmer of the two, a golden honey tone that brings more colour into a room than the natural does. The same wrapped weave gives it a dense, slightly knobbled surface, and it works particularly well over boards or tiles where a softer rug would feel out of place.

Part of the Soumak collection — hand-woven in India from jute using the soumak technique, a flat 6mm construction with no separate backing. The wrapped weave gives a dense, slightly bubbled surface that lies close to the floor and takes heavy use without flattening out.
