Sovereign Terracotta Medallion Rug

Terracotta gives the central medallion and its border a warm, earthen tone, distressed across the field so that no two areas look quite the same. Against oak or a stone floor it reads naturally rather than ornately. A traditional shape in a colour that has become thoroughly comfortable in modern rooms.

Part of the Sovereign collection — machine woven in Turkey from polyester, with a fine 5mm flatweave pile over a cotton backing, 10mm in total. The fibre carries an unusual sheen for a traditional design, catching the light across a faded, deliberately distressed ground.
