Stellar Fresco Blue Rug

Blocks of blue-grey and stone are laid over one another and scraped back, leaving the ground showing through in patches. The effect is closer to weathered plaster than to a woven pattern. It gives a plain room something to look at without adding clutter.

Part of the Stellar collection — machine woven in Turkey from a polypropylene and polyester blend, 12mm overall, with a high-low pile that lifts the abstract pattern into relief. The yarn carries a bright lustre that moves with the light, and the surface is hard-wearing and straightforward to keep clean.
