Cotton Rugs
Cotton rugs are light, soft and easy to live with — most of ours are flatwoven, often blended with wool or jute for strength. They suit bedrooms and quieter rooms, and the lighter weights are simple to lift and shake out.
The Sloan range is the heart of this collection: a cotton flatweave in soft stripes and checks that works in a Scandinavian or coastal scheme and layers well over a larger jute rug. Hazy, Oakley and Finley add tonal and textured options, and the Napa and Organic ranges lean towards undyed natural shades. Because cotton is thin and flexible, these rugs sit flat under furniture and are easy to roll for storage, which makes them a practical choice for a guest room or a summer house.
A cotton flatweave can slip on a hard floor, so we would always suggest a thin anti-slip underlay — ask and we will recommend one.
Every rug comes with free delivery to UK mainland addresses, and our family team — rug specialists since 1961 — is happy to help with sizes, colours or care. Order online, or see the rugs for yourself at our showroom in Lostock Hall, Preston, open Monday to Saturday.
