Sloan is the flatweave we reach for when a room needs pattern without height — ten colourways, each a bold geometric worked in wool and cotton. The palette runs from quiet taupe, silver and black through to mustard, marsala and pink, so there is something here for a calm scheme and something for a room that wants lifting. Five sizes, including a 66 x 200 cm runner.
Sloan is a hand-woven flatweave in soft wool and cotton, made in India and finished with a cotton backing. At just 4 mm it sits flat under doors and furniture, and the hand-made construction gives it a lived-in, relaxed feel. Sizes run from a 66 x 200 cm runner and 100 x 150 cm through 120 x 170 cm and 160 x 230 cm to 200 x 300 cm, with prices from around £99.
Taupe, silver, pink, orange, blue and gold stripes and checks suit a Scandinavian or coastal room, and Sloan layers beautifully over a larger jute rug. Use a thin anti-slip underlay on a hard floor.
