Mason Rugs
Mason works on a simple idea: a calm, single-tone ground with the pattern cut into the surface, so it reads as shadow and sheen rather than contrast. The designs cover linear, grid, maze, wave and broad arc motifs in black, blue, sage, brown and natural beige. Three sizes cover most rooms, from 120 x 170cm up to 200 x 290cm.
Mason is machine woven in India from microfibre polyester, with a 13 mm cut-and-loop pile that carves each design in relief against a plain ground, and a soft, lightly brushed finish underfoot. Sizes are 120 x 170 cm, 160 x 230 cm and 200 x 290 cm, with prices from around £189.
The Magnitude designs in sage, blue and black are quiet modern abstracts; Script adds a looser, hand-drawn line. A soft, affordable living room rug with more texture than its price suggests.
