Abbus Steel Rug

Steel is a cool mid grey, and against it the looped bouclé surface reads sharply, each knot catching the light on its crown. The colour is neutral enough for almost any room, and the texture keeps it from becoming the flat grey rectangle a plain rug can so easily be.

Part of the Abbus collection — hand-woven in India from polyester in an uneven bouclé weave, with a 4mm pile and a 14mm overall height on a latex backing. The looped yarn breaks the surface into a soft, nubbly texture that catches the light without adding bulk underfoot.
