Avalon Rust Rug

Rust runs single-tone through the woven blocks, a burnt orange-brown that warms a floor without the heat of a brighter colour. The basketweave breaks it into small squares of light and shade, and the hemmed edges hold the shape neatly against a wall or under a bed.

Part of the Avalon collection — hand-woven in India from wool in an unbacked basketweave flatweave, with a 4mm pile and a 14mm overall height. Tight selvedge hems along each edge hold the weave firm, and the single-tone yarn lets the basket structure do all the work.
