Canvas Balance Rug

Balance works in black against a lighter ground, its shapes carved into the wool so the design is felt as much as seen. The high-low surface throws a small shadow along each edge, which keeps a graphic rug from ever looking printed or flat, and a contrast binding closes the outer edge.

Part of the Canvas collection — hand tufted in India from pure wool, with carved high-low shaping that lifts each form clear of its ground. Chunky and fine yarns are worked together across a 16mm body on a latex backing, and a contrast binding frames the finished edge.
