In charcoal the sculpted pattern turns dramatic, the deeper tone throwing the carved lines into sharper relief across the surface. A dark floor covering grounds a scheme of pale walls and light furniture, and the wool pile keeps the depth of colour looking rich rather than flat.

Part of the Hague collection — hand-tufted in India from 100% wool, with a contrasting cut and loop pile carved to 15-20mm overall so the geometry is shaped into the surface rather than printed onto it. Angular lines and sweeping curves worked in a single tone.
