Ornate fills the whole field with dense scrolling vinework rather than a single medallion, worked in greens that fade and return across the width as the space-dyed yarn changes. The low high-low pile keeps all that detail legible. Busy in the best sense, and a good way of disguising the traffic in a hall or a well-used sitting room.

Part of the Heriz collection — machine-woven in Turkey from space-dyed polyester, with a high-low pile just 10mm in total that cuts the traditional medallion patterns into relief. The space dyeing gives a lustrous, faintly aged sheen, and a jute mesh backing keeps the rug flat and hard-wearing.
