Lima Rust Rug

Rust is the warmest of the Lima shades, a burnt, earthy red-orange broken up by the irregular twist of the yarn. Against pale walls or a stone floor it reads as a block of warmth, and the contrasting border stops the colour from bleeding away into the room.

Part of the Lima collection — hand-woven in India from hand-spun wool in an unbacked flatweave, with a 7mm pile and a 10mm overall height. The yarn is twisted unevenly, so the surface shifts in tone across the rug, and a bold contrasting band runs around the edge.
