Metro Rust Rug

Rust carries the layered blocks in warm burnt orange, with the carved low sections reading almost brown by contrast. The wool takes this shade particularly well, giving a rich, slightly faded finish rather than anything brash. A warming rug for a sitting room with plenty of natural light or a lot of timber.

Part of the Metro collection — hand-tufted in India from pure wool, with a carved high-low pile between 8 and 12mm that sets layered geometric patterns into relief. Each design is worked tonally, one shade against another, so the structure of the pattern comes from depth as much as colour. Cotton backed.
