Mirage Illusion Blue Rug

Illusion plays with depth, concentric forms opening out so the surface appears to fall away towards the centre. Worked in blue with paler rings breaking up the darker ground, it is the most graphic design in the range, and the high-low pile deepens the trick considerably.

Part of the Mirage collection — a machine-woven shaggy rug made in Turkey from a polypropylene and polyester blend, with a 20mm pile and a 25mm overall height over a jute backing. The high-low construction carves each design physically into the surface, leaving it soft underfoot and quietly textured.
