Oakley Blonde Rug

Blonde is jute lightened a shade or two from its natural state, which brings out the plait in the braiding and keeps the rug looking fresh rather than rustic. The flat braided surface has no pile at all, so it lies close to the floor and takes traffic through a hall or a garden room without complaint.

Part of the Oakley collection — hand woven in India from braided jute with cotton and polyester, laid over a cotton backing to give an 18mm flatweave with no pile at all. The braiding gives the surface a plaited, ropey grain and a softer handle than jute usually manages.
