Sovereign Blue Medallion Rug

Deep blue runs through the medallion, border and field, distressed unevenly so the colour shifts between navy and a dustier denim. It is the most traditionally Persian-looking of the group, and the shine of the fibre keeps it from feeling heavy. Sits well with cream walls and dark polished wood.

Part of the Sovereign collection — machine woven in Turkey from polyester, with a fine 5mm flatweave pile over a cotton backing, 10mm in total. The fibre carries an unusual sheen for a traditional design, catching the light across a faded, deliberately distressed ground.
