Thatch Ecru Rug

Ecru is the palest Thatch, an undyed off-white in which the check is drawn almost entirely in texture. The low looped ground and the raised cut pile catch light and shadow differently, so the grid appears and recedes as you move around it. A quiet, tactile rug for a pared-back room.

Part of the Thatch collection — hand woven in India from a wool-rich blend, with a low looped ground and a raised cut pile carved into a soft check. At 15mm overall the surface is shallow but strongly textural, the difference in pile height doing the work that contrasting colour usually does.
