Thatch Taupe Rug

Taupe is the deepest Thatch, a soft grey-brown with real warmth in it. The carved check has more presence here because the tone itself carries more weight, and the wool-rich surface gives the ridges a dense, slightly matt finish. It grounds a pale room without darkening it unduly.

Part of the Thatch collection — hand woven in India from a wool-rich blend, with a low looped ground and a raised cut pile carved into a soft check. At 15mm overall the surface is shallow but strongly textural, the difference in pile height doing the work that contrasting colour usually does.
