Birkdale Rugs
Birkdale is a low, flat, honest weave for doorways, kitchens and under dining chairs, where a deep pile would only get in the way. Beige, ivory, pistachio, indigo and rust each show the soft banding that comes of hand spun wool. Three sizes are stocked, from 120 x 170 cm through to 200 x 290 cm, and either face can go uppermost.
Birkdale is a hand-woven flatweave in 65% wool and 35% polyester, made in India with a 4 mm pile and no backing, so it is fully reversible and only 9 mm thick. The hand-spun yarn carries natural colour variation. Sizes are 120 x 170 cm, 160 x 230 cm and 200 x 290 cm, with prices from around £179.
Rust, pistachio, ivory, indigo and beige — a flat, practical plain for a dining room or under a desk, and it sits cleanly under doors.
