Birkdale Rust Rug

Rust gives the range its warmest reading, a dry orange-brown streaked through with paler and deeper passages where the hand spun wool has taken the dye unevenly. Against wooden boards it looks entirely at home, and the low reversible weave sits flat under a dining table or a run of chairs.

Part of the Birkdale collection — a hand woven flatweave in 65% wool and 35% polyester, made in India with a 4mm pile and no backing, so it is fully reversible and only 9mm thick. The hand spun yarn carries natural colour striations, which means no two pieces are quite alike.
