Albany Grid Marine Rug

A ruled grid of fine marine blue lines crosses an ivory ground, regular enough to read as structure rather than decoration. The wool pile takes the deep blue cleanly and keeps it from flattening out. Good in a room that already has curves and pattern elsewhere and wants something straight underneath.

Part of the Albany collection — hand tufted in India from 100% wool, with a densely packed 12mm pile and a latex backing giving a total height of 16mm. Wool takes colour deeply and springs back underfoot, so these geometrics hold both their shape and their brightness.
