Ascot Gold Rug

Gold here is a soft, antique yellow rather than anything brassy, and the viscose border lifts it to a warmer shine against the matt wool centre. It brings light into a room with dark floors or heavy furniture, and sits well with navy, deep green and warm timber in a dining or sitting room.

Part of the Ascot collection — a hand-woven rug in 65% wool and 35% viscose, with a short cut pile carved to lift the broad border clear of the field. The wool centre is matt and dense, the viscose border catches the light, and each rug is made in India over a cotton backing.
