Sloan Orange Rug

Orange here is closer to a burnt terracotta than anything bright, the geometric worked in a warm clay tone that reads softer than the name suggests. It sits naturally with wood, wicker and unbleached linen. A good deal of warmth for a rug this thin, and easy to move between a living room and a bedroom.

Part of the Sloan collection — a hand-woven flatweave in soft wool and cotton, made in India and finished with a cotton backing. At just 4mm it sits flat under doors and furniture, and the hand-made construction gives the geometric patterning a crisp, well-defined edge.
