Natural is jute in its own colour, a pale greenish-fawn that varies slightly from strand to strand the way the plant itself does. The soumak wrapping builds a bubbled, close-packed surface that lies almost flat to the floor and takes the wear of a hallway or a doorway without complaint.

Part of the Soumak collection — hand-woven in India from jute using the soumak technique, a flat 6mm construction with no separate backing. The wrapped weave gives a dense, slightly bubbled surface that lies close to the floor and takes heavy use without flattening out.
