A muted green, closer to moss than to mint, worked in one shade so the sculpted curves do all the drawing. The surface changes as the light moves, showing the pattern in relief from one angle and almost hiding it from another. It settles well into a room with pale walls and timber furniture.

Part of the Tova collection — a robot-tufted polyester rug worked in a high-low pile carved into smooth curving forms across three levels, 28mm deep and 36mm overall on a latex backing. The pattern comes from the cut of the pile rather than colour, so each rug stays tonal. Made in India.
