Ascot Aqua Blue Rug

A plain field of aqua blue wool is framed by a broad viscose band, carved so that it stands just clear of the centre and catches the light where the wool stays matt. The effect is quiet and coastal, giving a pale room a wash of cool colour and a clear edge without any pattern to compete with.

Part of the Ascot collection — a hand-woven rug in 65% wool and 35% viscose, with a short cut pile carved to lift the broad border clear of the field. The wool centre is matt and dense, the viscose border catches the light, and each rug is made in India over a cotton backing.
