The Serapi medallion again, this time in muted greens over a pale ground, with the border tracery picked out in a lighter tone. Green reads cooler and more formal here than the beige, and the shine from the space-dyed polyester keeps it from looking flat. A traditional layout that still suits a modern dining room.

Part of the Heriz collection — machine-woven in Turkey from space-dyed polyester, with a high-low pile just 10mm in total that cuts the traditional medallion patterns into relief. The space dyeing gives a lustrous, faintly aged sheen, and a jute mesh backing keeps the rug flat and hard-wearing.
